Limewire Relaunches As An NFT Marketplace, With New Tokens From Travis Barker, Brandy & Gramatik

LimeWire, a recently relaunched NFT marketplace, has officially announced the celebrities who will work with it to launch NFTs. Some famous people who are involved with the new NFT marketplace are Travis Barker, Brandy, Gramatik, 7 Aurelius, Elijah Blake, Aitch, Maino, Nicky Jam, and Dillon Francis.

Travis Barker is joining the LimeWire family.

Limewire x Travis Barker

Travis Barker, the drummer for the band Blink-182, is one of the famous people dropping NFTs on LimeWire. His first-ever NFT collection will have special footage of him working in his studio that can’t be found anywhere else. Also, buying one of Travis Barker’s NFTs gives you access to a song you’ve never heard before.

Furthermore, Barker will be giving away a one-of-one NFT, which is a 3D model of his drum set. The lucky winner will also have the chance to own Travis Barker’s own drum set.

According to Travis Barker:

“I have always been interested in Web3 and NFTs so I am pretty stoked to release my first NFT collection and to do it on LimeWire. I hope that my NFT collection will inspire aspiring artists and fans who want to learn about my creative journey and how I make music.”

Barker further thinks that LimeWire has made a platform that gives his fans access to exciting content, even if they don’t know how to use web3.

LimeWire owners, Paul and Julian Zehetmayr, commented:

“We see a huge demand in the entertainment space for platforms that recognise and appreciate artists for their talent and put them in the driver’s seat.”

According to the brother, LimeWire gives all artists a new way to make money. They also say that LimeWire will help them “get more attention” and “keep more of what they earn.”

About the new NFT marketplace

Paul and Julian Zehetmayr, two brothers from Austria, bought the rights to LimeWire in March 2021. Their main goal was to turn it into a platform for NFT. LimeWire has been updated, and now fans can buy digital collectibles, exclusive tracks, album artworks, and live performance videos, among other things. It will also let fans buy these collectibles with both cryptocurrency and credit cards.

In May, the platform announced a partnership with Universal Music Group, a big name in the music business. The deal came after LimeWire said that it had sold its LMWR token privately and raised $10,4 million. LimeWire and UMG are working together to make NFTs and digital collectibles easier for people to get. LimeWire is definitely on its way to becoming a strong rival in the music NFT market.
