Italian Professional Football Club AC Milan Launching First Ever NFT

Serie A football club Associazione Calcio Milan (AC Milan) is planning to launch their first ever NFT with cryptocurrency exchange platform BitMEX.  The proceeds will support Fondazione Milan which is a non-profit organization linked to the wider scope of AC Milan’s Corporate Responsibility.

The 3D NFT will be created by a NFT platform called Fansea and it will be a limited-edition 3D NFT of a special Rossoneri jersey from South Sudan.  75,817 NFTs will be available to purchase, which is a number that represents the capacity of San Siro stadium, AC Milan’s home ground.

Each NFT will cost 45 euros (around $50 USD) starting April 14th from

AC Milan stated, “Thanks to AC Milan’s partner BitMEX, which has committed to contribute to the project by making a donation to Fondazione Milan through the purchase of a large number of the special NFT, the first 10,000 fans to pre-order the NFT will also receive an additional benefit, which allow users to get trading discounts and other benefits on”

According to the official announcement, “with proceeds going to Fondazione Milan to support their charitable initiatives across the globe, including its effort to help alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.”
