Warner Bros. Is Partnering With Nifty’s To Turn The Looney Tunes into NFTs

Warner Bros. announced on Thursday their collaboration with social media platform Nifty’s to launch a story-driven NFT collection called “Looney Tunes: What’s Up Block?” As part of Tweety’s 80th Anniversary celebration, the yellow canary will be the first Looney Tunes character to become a PFP avatar, followed by other Tune Squads members.

Looney Tunes: What’s Up Block?

Looney Tunes is a collection of cartoon short films created by Warner Bros. in 1930 and have entertained people of all ages with popular characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer J. Fudd, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner, and many more colorful characters.

The ensemble cast of toons is embarking on a new blockchain program in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) through a narrative-driven experience with the IP to delight buyers. According to Warner Bros., the Looney Tunes project will provide access to unique events, merchandise discounts, and other “real world” rewards for NFT holders.

This is the most recent announcement from Warner Bros. who’s leveraged other IPs in their NFT project launches. Prior projects includes “Space Jam: A New Legacy” NFT, Matrix-themed NFT avatar, and hybrid physical and digital DC Comics-themed NFT trading cards.

On June 2nd, Nifty’s tweeted the partnership with WarnerBros to launch Looney Tunes NFT project focusing on 10,000 Tweety Avatar first and followed by other toons, Each Tweety will cost you the price of $80. The Pre-sale is set for June 20th with the Public-sale following on the 21st of June.
