Wemade Invests in Blockchain Startup IoTeX

Wemade, South Korean Blockchain Game Publisher has invested in Blockchain Startup IoTeX.

blockchain startup IoTeX, a U.S.-based startup founded in 2017 with the aim of establishing a blockchain platform that can be used in real life.

IoTeX plans to release MachineFi products that are more advanced than the current Internet of Things (IoT), just as existing finance is evolving into DeFi, cultural and art collections are evolving into NFTs and influencers into SocialFi. MachineFi refers to a method of connecting the real world and the virtual world using blockchain technology and generating economic benefits in the process.

Through this investment, WEMIX team will investigate new blockchain-based business opportunities made possible through the collaboration with IoTeX.

Henry Chang, CEO of Wemade, foresees “the various blockchains in the world will eventually be connected and interoperable” and “WEMIX team will foster synergies in diverse fields by collaborating with promising blockchain projects”.

Wemade is looking to build a strong and sustainable ecosystem by investing in Sygnum Bank, the world’s first cryptocurrency bank, and Epic League, an online RPG and blockchain platform.
Wemade is also promoting a new paradigm called Play & Earn, which allows users to enjoy high-quality games and acquire items through its WEMIX platform. Wemade is currently onboarding blockchain games on the WEMIX platform.


Additionally, Wemade successfully completed the Non-Deal Roadshow to promote the improved value of the Wemix brand and provide investment information in the UK and the U.S. Wemade representatives also participated in the 2022 Game Developers Conference held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from March 21-25. Wemade was one of six diamond partners, joining top industry leaders such as Meta, Microsoft, AWS and Intel.


Sponsor sessions at the GDC created huge interest in Wemade from local developers and possible partners.
